Fall Fashion, Without the New Purchases

The fashion industry spends a lot of energy convincing people they need something new every season. We looked at this fall's biggest trends and found something different: most of them are just old styles cycling back.

Oversized blazers.
Still everywhere this fall, and there's a good chance you already own one, even if it's been sitting in the "work clothes" section of your closet. Pair it over a simple knit and denim for an easy, elevated everyday look.

Rich, warm neutrals.
Camel, chocolate brown, deep olive. If you've got basics in these tones from past seasons, they're not dated, they're back. Layer them together instead of reaching for something new.

Statement boots.
The one piece worth actually shopping for if you don't already have a pair, but check what you own first. A pair from a past season likely still works with this year's silhouettes.

Textured knits.
Cable knit, ribbed, chunky cardigans. If you've got sweaters from previous years sitting untouched, this is their moment again. Fall trends cycle back more than people think.

Trend cycles are shortening, but that doesn't mean closets need to keep up by buying more. It means there's a real opportunity to rediscover what you already own instead of replacing it. That's the bet we're building Revy on.
